Riku walked hastily down the street, well, as hastily as he could. It was pretty crowded for the middle of the day, everyone else was supposed to still be in school. Riku himself had a free session, so he had decided to spend some of the large amount of money he had in his bank account on buying a new ipod. His old one was essentially disintegrating. It was too bad he didn't know his way around though - he had only been outside Kaijuu High once, and that was when he had arrived. His headphones were still over his ears; to any other person, he may have just been walking around aimlessly with his music on. He looked around, trying to find a person to ask directions from, but just his luck, he seemed to be surrounded by people three times his height, and quite a few of them were female. He flushed. He still couldn't speak to females. He had his mother to thank for that. He checked his watch and his heart jumped. Only twenty minutes left... He started to panic, looking around. He suddenly realised he didn't know where he was in the slightest...

Lucia had the day off for an exam that the grade 12's where taking. She was slightly happy about that, she absoloutly hated school. Her fingers drummed the coffee cup sitting on the table and she looked up and scanned the crowd. Groups of teenagers and business adults walked slowly and hurriedly through the crowd. Her eyes caught the flash of an occasional child that should've been in school but ignored it as a pathetic human child that was walking with it's parents.
She took a sip and let the caramel latte taste fill her mouth before she lowered it and the familiar sliver spiked haired 14 year old. Her eyes watched him weave through the crowd, ear phones securely in place on his ears. Lucia was only watching him weave through the crowds becuase the younger boy was a Necromancer and she felt a silent pull to protect him because of said fact, and he was well young. She didn't know why he was out and wanted to know.
Once Riku looked confused she stood up and tossed a ten dollar bill towards a waiter and jumped over the two foot tall black iron fence. Some humans looked startled and sped up, expecting the blue freak to jump out and eat them or something. Lucia walked up and stood beside Riku, the sea of people curtaining around them like water did to a rock. She sipped on the coffee before her eye slid down to Riku. "Shouldn't you be in school?"

Riku jumped and turned to see the teal-haired girl... Lucia... the necromancer. He remembered her. He also remembered her intimidation. He flushed, and struggled to get the words out. "F-f-free se-se-" He closed his eyes and tried to pretend he wasn't talking to anyone. His voice came out shaky, but hey, it worked. "I have a free session. But I don't know where I am..."

Lucia raised her eyebrow before sighing. "You're downtown, the resturant strip, turn the corner and there is the store district." She said pausing and taking a sip of coffee. "Since you have a free period, I guess I'll stick around you and scare you into talking more." She teased, her voice still montone but she started walking towards the store district, knowing that if Riku wanted to be stuck in the crowd of strangers he'd stay there and not make it back to the school in time. If it where Lucia she'd follow the girl who knows where everything is so she wouldn't be late for class.

"You say?" he muttered in a sudden fear, completely forgetting how to normally utter sentences. Oh, he wouldn't survive it. He slipped his headphones over his neck, it would be rude to wear them now. It made sense to follow Lucia, after all, she knew where she was, and after all, Riku only had... fifteen minutes to get back. He noticed Lucia had started walking, and hurriedly stumbled after her, accidentally knocking into someone as he did. To his horror, the two of them tripped and tumbled to the ground. Lucia kept walking, not yet aware of what had just happened. Riku coughed and tried to apologise.

Rukia walked on the busy side walk. It was really busy right now, why? It wasn’t normally all this busy out in town, was it? She wouldn’t have known, she would spend most of her time in school or around that general area, so she wasn’t all too familiar with the town setting. She smiled as she glanced up at the sky. It was a nice afternoon blue kind of color. How peaceful it seemed.
Looking back down to the earth before her, it was really crowded, and kind of noisy. Which was the opposite of peaceful. Oh well, atleast no one had broken out into any sort of a fight as of yet. She looked around for a clock and fortunately found one. Hmm.. About 15 minutes until the next class. She decided that she would have to get going if she didn’t want to be late. She had a spare session, and yet it seemed to end so fast.
She looked to her side for a moment then down by her hip. She grabbed her black sharpie which she had always carried by her side, and began to write something down on her wrist. It was a bad habit of hers to always doodle, or even write things down on her hands and wrists. Her parents had warned her of ink poisoning, but, she still has yet to cut it out.
As she was writing something down she had felt something. Or better yet, someone. She had felt someone bump into her, and knock her to the ground. She had closed her eyes when she had fell, only to open them again and see that it was a boy, who looked to be slightly younger then she was. He had spiky white hair, and if she was right, he seemed to be stuttering?
Why was the boy stuttering? Was it because he had knocked her over by mistake? Or was there a deeper reason to it? Or was he coughing, orr…? What was going on? Rukia was a little confused as to what had just happened, so she merely stared at the boy and blinked at him curiously, not once, but twice.
“Are you alright?” She asked, curious of the boy’s current state. She looked down to her wrist and saw that the sharpie must of glided on her wrist as she had fell, because now that she had looked at it, there was a big, long mark on her arm, caused by her very own black sharpie.
Where did that thing get to, anyways? She looked around her and couldn’t find it at first. Oh no oh no oh no! Where did that thing get to?

Oh, no. Another female. He flushed madly and tried to clear his throat. Why did his jaw seem to lock up in the presence of women! But he had to say something. He tried to apologise for his clumsiness, but it came out mumbled and disconnected. He glanced at Lucia for help, the only person he had managed to talk to recently. As he did so he felt something poke painfully into his neck and he winced. His headphones had broken. Great. And he was cold. But wasn't it summer? He felt like he was lying next to an open fridge...

Lucia paused when she didn't hear someone rushing to catch up. She turned around and saw Riku and a black haired girl on the ground. Her eyebrow twitched up in question before she slowly walked towards the two. Once she reached them she looked down at Riku. "Riku, it's not polite to knock down women without helping them up." She scolded the younger boy and noticed his head phones.
"Ugh." She muttered and put her hands on her hips and stared down at him and the girl. "Oh, I'm being impolite." She muttered before holding both hands out to the two on the ground. "I'm Lucia, this is Riku." She introduced herself and Riku, knowing Riku was uncomfortable around girls.

Rukia seemed to have gone unanswered. Why? Well, why not? She guessed the boy didn’t have to speak to her if he didn’t want to, and it appeared that he didn’t really want to, seeing as he was stuttering so much, and that it was as if he could hardly talk at this moment in time. She hoped he’d get over it soon enough, so she could atleast speak with him fluently enough to ask him if he had seen her sharpie anywhere nearby.
She looked over to a woman with beautiful light blue hair. She had an eyes patch as well, how interesting. Why would she have an eye patch? Was something wrong with her eye, or was it a different color, and she just didn’t want to reveal it to anyone? Whatever the case, she seemed to be pretty nice. Well, that is until she had spoken. She still seemed nice, yes, and in all honesty Rukia considered her little scolding to be kind of funny. Perhaps it was because she didn’t take the scolding seriously because, well, she wasn’t the one in trouble.
She glanced over to the boy not all too far from her. She noticed his headphones were broken. Uh oh. That wasn’t good, not at all. She hoped she wouldn’t be held responsible for such a thing, because she wasn’t watching where she was going because she was doodling on her hand with her sharpie which-- where was her sharpie?
Rukia gave the woman a nice smile as she had offered her hand up. She grabbed one of her hands and allowed it to pull her up. “Thanks.” she said, glad that she was given help. Although it wasn’t entirely necessary for someone to help another up, it was a kind gesture which Rukia always accepted, except for occasionally when she didn’t want help.
At this point, she was standing on her own two feet. She gave a slight bow, then stood straight again. “Nice to meet you both, I’m Rukia.”
She glanced down to the ground for a few moments. Still trying to find her sharpie. She scanned the ground for only a few moments before she had found it. It was a few feet away at this point, just laying there. She decided she would get it after she was done talking with Lucia and Riku. She didn’t want to interrupt the conversation by wandering off to go pick up her sharpie, so she just stood and smiled at the both of them.

Riku started to flush, and desperately tried to cover it up by glancing at his watch. Ten minutes! He removed the broken headphones and fiddled with them before giving up and dropping them into the nearby trashcan. Now he had something else to look for. He just wished he could direct his urgency towards Lucia and the new girl better, rather than the ridiculous stuttering he was throwing out currently. He closed his eyes again - it worked before, why not again?
