Yuki was working on her notes during class, trying to ignore her demon pounding at the walls of her backpack. Oh god this was annoying, but she just wished that there was a fellow demon tamer here to teach her how to take care of her fire, creature demon. It just was really annoying that she was blamed for so many things because of her demon when there was no one here to tach her anything...about anything.
When the lesson ended, the teacher went off and talked to some kid that slept through class. Well, good thing that she enjoyed history, to a certin degree. She was already in enough trouble, as it is. But she was totally beat. She still had woken up too early and was sleepy. She yawned once the bell rang.
She stood up, grabbing her back pack and walked up to the teachers desk.
"Well, you see, sir, I stayed up really late last night studing because my running acidently went a bit too late and then I had A LOT to catch up on 'cause I came here mid semester. So I tried to sleep in, but my demon woke me,so I got dressed and fell back asleep. And while I was asleep, he doodled all over my paper, and I hate to turn in assignments that aren't their best so I threw it away.
But I can't make it up,sir. During lunch or something. Just not after school, otherwise ill go late running again," she explained.

Toshiro listened to her story half amused. 'Never heard that one before,' he chuckled at the thought. He sort of believed her story but still it wasn't all the demons fault by the look of it. She should have been paying attention to the time. Then maybe she could have done her work like she was supposed to. It sucked for her though, not having someone to teach her how to tame her demon. He actually felt a little pity for her.
He tapped his fingers on the desk as he looked at her, emotionless. After a few moments of silence he spoke, "Just a little tip for any other classes you might have to give this excuse to. Don't mention your weakness. It's like telling your parents when your in trouble 'don't take away my cellphone'. They will just take it because they know it will make you regret doing it. Same thing here. If you tell us this, we will find a way to take away the problem. In this case, your running."
He tried to think of a punishment. If he did make her do her assignment after school he would just have to deal with this again. "As for your assignment, you can rewrite it and give it too me by the end of the day. But I advise you to get a watch or another means to keep you aware of the time so we don't have this mistake again." He paused for a moment, letting what he said sink in. This was one time he hadn't actually punished someone in his usual ways. She had better be happy about this act of mercy. Cause this would be her last.

Hikaru kept a straight face when Hayami-Sensei berated the sleeping student. One would think that the students should know by now not to fall asleep around a teacher that gets off on student pain. Going back to her notes, she concentrated on catching as much of what he was saying and translate that into her own words. Haru had an effective way of taking notes that helped her study for tests later on, which consisted of a basic outline, then fleshing it out. It had worked since 6th grade, and it wasn’t going to fail her now.
As the lesson ended, Hikaru finished up her notes then proceeded to pack up her materials. She was usually one of the first people out of the class, but today she hung back, waiting for the new girl to finish working out her assignment blunder. Demons could be a handful, especially untamed. She just needed some assistance learning the trade, though Haru didn’t know shit about demon taming. Maybe there was someone in the school or town that could help out.
Walking forward, Hikaru stopped next to the girl in front of Hayami-Sensei’s desk. “Perhaps I could help. I am a good student, so I can help out with tutoring or whatever is needed.” She turned towards the girl next to her. “What do you think?”
