And life will always be twisted COMPASS HAD BEEN finishing her science project in the science lab. She had been behind on a few things with it and the dead line was tommarow. Thankfully, this was the last science class of the day and then she could keep working on it. Eventually, Map would come get her and tell her it was time to get going. That was...unless something happened with him. Probably some more good luck.
Then the bell rang. School was over, but she couldn't leave. She just had a few touches to work on with her project. Then again, if it were up to her, there were always a few touches to work on with anything. But Map would be there to tell her she'd done enough.
Already twenty minutes past the end of school, she read on the clock. Yeah...Map was doing something better than taking care of her. So she went back to her project.
That's when she heard the door open. She looked to the door with hopeful eyes. Map!
But no.
It wasn't Map. It was a few guys from her classes. She looked back down on her project, hoping they wouldn't notice her and leave her alone.
But they didn't.
Instead they came here way, surrounding her.
"Hey, doll," one said with a wink.
"Working on a science project?" another asked, poking at her project.
"Um, please. Don't do that," she said timidly. Where was Map?
"Why no? You want us to do something else?" another asked.
"No. That's not what I meant," she said, speaking a bit more firmly.
"Oh, fine, fine," the first said. The one that called her "doll". "But you know what I've heard? You're afraid of the dark, arn't you?"
Compass crossed her arms and looked away angrily. "I don't know what you're talking about. I have no fear of the dark."
"Oh, prove it." That's what she was afraid of. The group of guys picked her up and carried her off to the science lab's closet. Where all the chemicals and suppiles where stored away in a small, dark room. It's light switch was outside the room.
The guys tossed her into the closet, locking the door behind them as they turned off the lights. Compass's eyes grew large. She banged on the door, yelling.
"Let me out! Letmeoutletmeoutletmeout!" she screamed. When she stopped screaming, she heard their footsteps walking away. She was alone. In the dark. No, no, no. But Map would come. Right?

Map jogged through the halls, trying to find his sister. He had been held after class, talking to the teacher about his midterm that was coming up. Compass and he had been approved to take advanced courses, and his English teacher wanted to make sure he was prepared for the midterm next week. Of course, there was nothing to worry about, since he was pretty much a genius, but that didn't stop her from flirting with him. He just pushed his way past her awkwardly, muttering something about being gay, then ran for the Chem Lab.
His luck would have him screwed; he couldn't remember the way. Stopping a group of girls, he watched their faces flush, and one started to giggle, as he asked the apparent leader where the Chem Lab was. She gave him the directions, and he flashed her a grateful smile before he was off again. Three turns and another hallway later, and he could still here the annoying squeals and giggles about how he talked to them. Girls were so confusing. At least with Dare he could be himself and not worry about judgment.
Finally making it to the Chem Lab, he saw a few boys snickering and what sounded like his little sister screaming. He grabbed the closest boy by the neck and slammed him against the wall. "Where. Is. My. Sister?!" he snarled at the boy who was visibly shaking. Glaring at the other boy, he just about growled out, "Let her out NOW!" Said boy scrambled into the room without complaint. He returned to the boy in front of him and relaxed his face. He didn't need any premature wrinkles.

Compass felt hot tears run down down her face as she banged on the door to escape. She hated the dark, absolutely terrified of it. She didn't know why, but she just was and hated those that took advantage of other peoples fears. It was just so...so...savage. Why in the world would people feed of fears to?
Some people might question Compass on my she was banging on the door instead of using her powers to get out. It is simple, really. She needs concentration to use her powers and she can't concentrate when trapped in her fear, with little chance of escape, such as a window.
Then the door opened and she fell out, landing on her face with a thud. She moaned as she stood up, wiping away the tears on her face. She looked at the boys, gathering herself before sticking out her tounge at the bullies. They were defiantly going on her list. People like that didn't deserve to live.
Then she noticed her brother. Actually, what she noticed was her brothers spikey red hair. But once she saw that, she knew it was her brother and so she ran to him, tackling him with a hug. She knew he'd get her out of there.
The ironic thing here was, despite her wanting the help, she wasn't the one that truwly needed saving.
